About this course

Overview

The course will be a hybrid of online industry overview, insight and examples and a two day in-person practical immersion and project work in a fully equipped virtual production studio at our Production Park, Wakefield West Yorkshire base.

The industry training team at the Academy of Live Technology will leverage our network of contacts with VP supervisors across the HETV and film industries and in-house expertise of our virtual production studio and Masters Degree in Virtual Production (the first of its kind in the UK) to address and cover the specific training and skills development required to become a VP Supervisor.

This programme is supported by the ScreenSkills Film and High-end TV Skills Funds with contributions from UK film and high-end TV productions.

WHO'S IT FOR?

This bespoke course is designed to equip you with the skills and experience needed to take your career to the next level in film and television. Going significantly beyond the basic “Introduction to Virtual Production” courses, we will take you on a deep dive into the world of virtual production and give you practical experience using the latest real-time technologies and advanced LED volumes.

Starting with online and hands-on classroom learning, you will then be immersed into real-world production, providing on-set learning in both pre-production and post-production environments.

You’ll learn all about the fundamentals of storytelling, Unreal Engine scene building and virtual production. As your knowledge progresses, you’ll move onto advanced concepts, such as colour management, data recording and VAD integration.

WHAT IT COVERS
