When you’re not on campus, most of our students live in Wakefield. It’s about a 30 minute drive away, or you can get the train which runs hourly and takes just under 20 minutes.

Waterfront House

Waterfront House is just across from the Hepworth Gallery in the centre of Wakefield.

There's 47 rooms across eight apartments with a range of single and double bedrooms available. All include en-suites, communal kitchen and living space and free Wi-Fi. There's also a cinema room, workspaces, laundry rooms and bike stores. 

There's a free bus to Westgate Train Station which takes about 15 minutes. 

Limited parking spaces are available at an additional cost of £5 per week. 

Rooms are priced between £100 - £145 per week. You won’t have to worry about bills, as heating, water and electricity are all included in your rent.

The Grainstore

A great city centre location with all the shops, bars and restaurants that Wakefield has to offer.

A 5 minute walk from Wakefield Westgate train station.

A large communal living room to the ground floor with a large LED TV, ground floor WC, 11 en-suite double rooms located over 3 floors with each room having a double bed, wardrobe, desk and chair.  3 communal kitchens (1 on each floor).

External CCTV and parking is available at an additional cost.

Located 1 mile from the city centre it has the benefit of being on a main bus route.  Sandal & Agbrigg train station which is about 10 minutes walk away and also connects directly to Moorthorpe train station near the Academy in South Kirkby.

George and Crown Yard

A 2 minute walk from Wakefield Westgate train station.
